| Q: | What does "to the trade mean"? |
| A: | Interior Designers and Designer workrooms are "the trade" with regard to the upholstered furniture industry. Some upholstery shops that provide decorating services may also qualify. Fundamentally, we are an upholstery fabric wholesaler. The Designers to which we sell, provide a packaged service (new build, re-upholstery, etc.) to the end user. |
| Q: | Why can't I order and pay for my fabric online? |
| A: | Selecting and purchasing high-quality upholstery fabric is a process of interaction between the designer and the vendor. Security, confidence, and the clarity of a purchase order system creates a dialog between sales staff and customer which is better suited for accepting payment and avoiding costly misunderstandings. |
| Q: | Why aren't the prices of the fabrics listed? |
| A: | Designers determine the price of their products and services. Once registered, they can choose between a wholesale or suggested retail price list. Some desire both. Displaying prices here would undermine their ability to do business and create confusion for the customer. |
| Q: | If I give NancyRich my e-mail address, will I start getting unsolicited e-mail from other vendors? |
| A: | No. We are extremely selfish with our customer base. We do occasionally e-mail current, and prospective clients, informing them of new patterns and pricing. Requests to be dropped from our mailing list will be promptly honored. |
| Q: | What if I want to see a companion pattern or color that is not shown on the site? |
| A: | We will either e-mail you the image, or post it on the web and e-mail you a link. We do all our graphics, pre-press, and web development in-house. It is not uncommon for our staff to take a digital image of a fabric, trim or accessory, and publish it on the web, or E-mail it to the client the same day. |
| Q: | If I get a sample from NancyRich, won't I be able to go to my local upholstery fabric supply and get the same pattern? |
| A: | You might. However, many of our patterns are exclusive weaves and hard to get because of long-lead times from the mills. We stock these long-lead fabrics so our customers won't have to wait (some Belgium weaves take up to six months). All of our fabrics are first quality runs, and even though some of the franchise fabric outlets may also have a few of these patterns, they are usually a lesser quality of color and weave. |
| Q: | Does NancyRich extend trade credit? |
| A: | No. Because our prices are very competitive, we do not extend credit. We do accept all major credit cards (Visa, MC, Discover, and Amex...get those air miles) and, of course, your company check. |
| Q: | Why doesn't NancyRich have a toll free phone number. |
| A: | E-mail is free--for now. You can also submit one of our online forms. Either way, our staff will get in touch with you by phone. |
